These Terms of Service govern your use of the Redactli data anonymization service.

Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Redactli. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Redactli ("Company", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Redactli data anonymization service.

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
Description of Service
Core Functionality
Redactli provides a data anonymization service that allows you to transform sensitive data in your files into anonymized values before sharing with third-party services, including AI tools. The Service uses encryption-based anonymization that can be reversed by authorized paid users.
No Data Storage
Important Notice
The Service operates on a real-time processing model. Your User Data is processed in-memory and is never stored on our servers. Once processing is complete and you have downloaded your results, all User Data is immediately discarded from our systems.
Service Tiers
Free: Limited features for evaluation purposes
Starter: Enhanced limits and cloud integrations for individual users
Pro: Advanced features, higher limits, and team capabilities
Lifetime Deal: One-time payment for ongoing access (when available)
User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
Your Data
You retain all rights to your User Data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates immediately upon completion of processing.
Lawful Use
You represent and warrant that:
- You have all necessary rights and permissions to process the User Data through our Service
- Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- If processing Personal Data, you have a valid legal basis under applicable data protection laws
- You will not use the Service to process data obtained unlawfully or without proper authorization
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the Service without authorization
Data Protection and Processing
Data Controller and Processor Roles
When you use the Service to process Personal Data, you act as the Data Controller (determining the purposes and means of processing) and we act as the Data Processor (processing on your behalf according to your instructions).
Processing Instructions
By using the Service, you instruct us to:
- Receive selected column data via encrypted transmission
- Apply anonymization algorithms in real-time
- Return anonymized results
- Immediately discard all User Data from memory
Security Measures
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest (account data and keys)
- Secure key management using hardware security modules
- No persistent storage of User Data
- Disabled logging of request/response bodies
- Regular security assessments

Fees and Payment
Subscription Fees
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by law. All fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for paying.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees using your selected payment method.
Refunds
For Australian consumers, refunds are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. For other users, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on new paid subscriptions. Lifetime Deal purchases are non-refundable after 14 days.
Intellectual Property
Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by Redactli and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive no ownership rights in the Service by using it.
Limited License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal purposes in accordance with your subscription tier.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Service Provided 'As Is'
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
No Legal Advice
Redactli is a tool to assist with data anonymization. It does not provide legal advice. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded.
Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- All licenses granted to you will terminate
- You must cease all use of the Service
- We will delete your account data within 30 days (except where retention is required by law)
Governing Law and Disputes
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
