Install the Add-on
Visit the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for "Redactli". Click "Install" and authorize the required permissions.

Generate API Key
Go to your Redactli Dashboard → API Keys. Click "Generate New Key" and copy it (shown only once).
Connect & Start Protecting

Can I still use the free web version if I only need CSV anonymization?
Absolutely! Our free tier (10 files/month, 200 rows) is perfect for occasional use. You can export your Sheet as CSV, anonymize on our web app, and re-import. The add-on is for teams who need to do this regularly and want the convenience of staying in Sheets.
Does the add-on work with Google Workspace (business accounts)?
Yes! The Redactli add-on works with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace business accounts. Workspace admins can install it for their entire organization.
What happens to my original sheet?
Nothing—it stays completely untouched. When you click "Anonymize → New Sheet", we create a brand new sheet in your workbook with the encrypted data. Your original data remains safe and unmodified.
Can I anonymize the same sheet multiple times?
Yes! Each time you run anonymization, you'll get consistent results. "Sarah Chen" will always become "Name_a3b7c9d2" because we use deterministic encryption. This preserves data relationships across multiple anonymizations.
Is my API key secure?
Yes. Your API key is stored encrypted in Google's Properties Service (the same system Google uses for add-on settings). It's never exposed to other users or stored in your spreadsheet. You can revoke keys anytime from your Redactli dashboard.
What if I hit my monthly limit?
Starter: 100 files/month. Pro: 500 files/month. Each anonymization counts as 1 file. If you hit the limit, either wait for it to reset next month, upgrade to Pro, or contact us about enterprise pricing for higher volumes.
